Kutaisi to Martvili Canyon: 30km on rolling gravel backroads through the Colchic forests, sidestepping the tourist crowds entirely.
Bikes off at the Enguri Dam (one of the world's highest arch dams) and onto the scenic old road toward Khaishi, guided by the Nakra and Enguri rivers into the Svaneti range.
The climb from Mestia to the Koruldi Lakes at 2,850m: 1,400m of vertical gain with Mt. Ushba in your face, followed by a 15km descent past 9th-century Svan towers back into Mestia.
The iconic 45km ride to Ushguli through Mulakhi and Ipari, mixing fresh asphalt and classic gravel with the glaciers of Mt. Tetnuldi ahead.
Ride to the base of the Shkhara Glacier where the Enguri river begins, then tackle the Zagari Pass — the high-altitude gateway between Upper and Lower Svaneti.
A 50km gravity day: 1,500m of descent from the pass into the Lentekhi valley, dropping through alpine zones into lush river lowlands on a route no standard operator touches.
A final roll through the grand Soviet-era sanatoriums of Tskaltubo before returning to Kutaisi to close the full Svaneti loop.
Best for: experienced riders and private groups — Kosher-style, vegetarian, and vegan meal packages available. Hand-picked guesthouses with Svan Tower views on request.
